Ben Kilgour-Manston
Started working at a young age in the family building firm which grew to employ 500 tradespeople and built homes and businesses across Europe.
Then he did an apprenticeship with a prestigious furniture maker in Devon, Phoenix workshops, under Tim Rae-Duke.
In his quest to understand more about Wood as a product, he studied Arboriculture, and then set up his own business as a tree surgeon.
Finally, he set up his own Building Firm, which he has been running ever since, and started Caledonian Stoves with his Wife and Son in 2019 after realising a gap in the market.
Harriet Kilgour-Manston
Harriet grew up familiar with the building industry as her parents ran their own family building firm. Her career before Caledonian Stoves was spent working as a professional in the Equestrian Industry, working in many different sectors, and becoming a Riding Instructor.
Once Harriet and Ben knew they wanted to get married, they set up Caledonian Stoves Ltd in Stirlingshire where they settled together, and are always striving to provide a service they can feel proud of, and hope that their customers feel they have a professional and personal touch.
Alastair Buchanan
He has been in the construction industry for 22 years. He has a vast knowledge of the
building trade and specialise in lime pointing, stone work, brick and block work, concreting, roughcasting, lime Harling, cement works, restoration, renovation and structural works to name a few.
Alastair takes great pride in his work, and customer satisfaction is a top priority.
Ross O’Boyle
Originally from Northern Ireland, Ross came to Stirling to study Marine Biology at the University here. After graduating, he enrolled onto a master’s degree in Sustainable Aquaculture also at the University of Stirling.
Ross now works at Caledonian Stoves full-time after completing his studies.
Ross is relatively new to the trade industry but has years of manual labour experience working for his Dad’s gardening business and enjoys working to a high standard.
